May we introduce ourselves:
Heidi & Jens Röver from Olhão - Portugal.
We are the team behind "visit eastalgarve" and operate www.visit-eastalgarve.com (in English) and www.ostalgarve.com (in German). We agree with you – our names do not sound very Portuguese. We settled in the Algarve in 2008 - Heidi, from Salzburg/Austria, and Jens, from Frankfurt/Main/Germany.
Before we said our good-byes to Germany, we successfully managed a large Culture-Restaurant/Beergarden with its own cultural calendar of regular live music, theatre, comedy and choirs, and organised numerous private parties and seminars of up to 300 guests on the premises. Not surprisingly, we longed for less stress and less noise, which we hoped to find in the wonderful Eastern Algarve - and we did!
That is how our new challenge was born - to bring you closer to this beautiful, tranquil region, with information and photos © Jens Röver, which we hope will make you want to come and explore the Eastern Algarve for yourselves.
