Cachopo is a small quiet village, located in the hills of the "Serra do Caldeirão". "Núcleo museológico de Cachopo" is a museum showcasing the traditional clothing of the mountain dweller from many years ago. Cachopo is famous for woollen blankets and handicrafts. Restaurants frequently serve excellent game dishes. It is ideal for hiking (better in the low season because of the heat), and is also famous for hunting. Every 2nd weekend in May there is a market for crafts and traditional arts.
